18.08.07 - By Chris Williams: IBF middleweight boxing champion Arthur Abraham (24-0, 19 KOs) racked up another successful title defense tonight, stopping Armenian challenger Khoren Gevor (27-3, 15 KOs) in the 11th round at the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany. Abraham, 27, making his fifth title defense of his IBF belt, dominated Gevor over the course of the bout, punishing him with combinations and thoroughly outclassing him. In the 11th round, Abraham finished off Gevor with a big right hand that dropped him to the canvas.

In the earlier rounds, Gevor, ranked #4 in the IBF, attempted to take the fight to Abraham with mixed results, as his weaker shots were no match for Abrahamís powerful right hand. Instead of adjusting and trying to box, Gevor continued with trying to trade with Abraham going into the latter part of the boxing fight, and took a considerable amount of punishment for all his efforts.
Though Gevor had previously only been beaten twice before tonightís bout, his record was largely built up on unknown European fighters, and he appeared over his head against a fighter of Abrahamís pedigree.
