27.05.04 - A new boxing series hits the Pacific Northwest in June. “Rumble at the Reef I” kicks off at the Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale, Washington Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 8:00 PM. The series is being promoted by Brian Halquist Productions who also promotes “The Battle at the Boat” boxing series at the Emerald Queen Casino.
“Rumble at the Reef I” will feature an eight round main event with Canadian light heavyweight Mark Woolnough (14-3-2) from Qualicum Beach B.C. facing Kevin Butts (8-3-1) from Cleveland, Ohio. The undercard will feature Canadians Mehdi Pouroskoui and Troy Roberts.
The full undercard will be announced next week. “We are very excited to add this new boxing series to our schedule,” Halquist stated. “We are going to be able to keep a lot of Northwest boxers very busy.” Tickets are available thru Diamond Dividends at the Silver Reef Casino or by calling the casino at 360-383-0777 ext 126.
