It was the first loss for the previously unbeaten "100 Year Talent" Brähmer, who has since used what he learned in the bout against Veit to spectacularly knock out Francico Mora, then recover from a knockdown to defeat former world champion Hector Velazco in May.
The experienced Veit, who will be seeking his 50th win, rebounded from his loss to unbeaten world-rated Dennis Inkin with a shutout win over Valentin Ochoa, and hopes to use another win over Brähmer as a springboard back into title contention.
The undercard for the "Universum Champions Night" is loaded with talent.
