But undefeated Marsh, a former ABA champion and the Southern Area Featherweight king, has blasted the champion for getting ahead of himself.
"I couldn't believe it when I read that Derry wants to take on Khan," stormed Marsh.
"His dreams of a mega fight with Amir will be dashed on Saturday night when I rip his belt off him.
"He's definitely underestimating me and that will prove his downfall.
"For months now I've been focussing on Mathews, but it sounds as if he's taken his eye off the ball big time and begun thinking ahed to a clash with Amir. What a mistake to make.
"I can assure him he will be in for a nasty surprise on Saturday night."
Undefeated Marsh is also backing a passionate East End crowd to sweep him to victory.
"I've got hundreds of supporters going to York Hall and it's going to be a rare old atmosphere down there," he said.
"When Derry fought John Simpson in Liverpool he was a bully boy, but with all my fans cheering me on, I don't think I've got anything to worry about."
