Andre Ward Visits School

Andre WARD (13-0, 8 KOs) took some time away from his schedule earlier today to visit a school of admiring children and spend time with them speaking of the pay off of hard work and the goodness of values. Andre’s team also participated in the meeting allowing the children to have the opportunity to try out boxing techniques with Andre’s long time experienced trainer, Virgil Hunter..

“It’s amazing that these kids are so well mannered. The have a humble school with teachers who really care about the children. It was my privilege and honor to be there and share a moment of their day with them” Acknowledged Ward.

Hunter explained “When you have the desire to good at something, you can do it. It doesn’t matter what age… These children are inspirational to me in that I can tell that they are all champions. It doesn’t matter if they are inside or out of the ring, they will do well in life as long as they listen to their teachers and mind their parents.”

Ward will square off this Friday, November 16 against super middleweight Roger CANTRELL (12-0, 8 KOs) in a bout televised by Showtime’s ShoBox: The New Generation (SHOWTIME, 11 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast).
