Watch Solis vs Long, Hide vs Nasyrov Live On This Site This Sunday

Arena Box-Promotion will broadcast the upcoming Christmas boxing show this Sunday (December 23rd) at Maritim Hotel in Halle/Saale as live PPV event on the internet. Boxing fans from all over the world have the chance to watch former world heavyweight champion Herbie Hide (40-4-0, 39 kos) and unbeaten Russian prospect Mikhail Nasyrov (18-0-0, 12 kos) fight for the vacant WBC international cruiserweight championship in the main event. “The Dancing Destroyer” wants to prove that he still has what it takes to become a world champion..

Herbie: “I will knock out this Russian kid and then go straight on to beat up David Haye. If Haye wanted to come to Halle I would knock him out and strip the belt from him right away! But I think he’s rather hiding from me. It won’t help him though as “The Master of Disaster” is on his way to cut Hay(e)!”

The co-main event features Cuban “heavyweight sensation” Odlanier Solis in a WBC Latino Championship bout. As Francois Botha pulled out of the fight against Solis on short notice Arena-CEO Ahmet Öner signed 7’1’’-giant Julius Long from Detroit as replacement.

Solis: “I don’t care who I’m beating. I want to become World Champion as fast as possible and whoever gets in my way will find himself lying on the floor.”

There will be 10 fights on the card in total including Arena’s unbeaten prospects Konstantin Airich (in a German Interim heavyweight championship bout), “Mini-Tyson” Selcuk Aydin, Yakup Saglam, local hero Tino Groß, Edmund Gerbe and Sebastian Sonntag. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and will also be broadcasted on Eurosport (Germany) and Fox Türk.
