"USS" Cunningham Ready To Set Sail On Germany

IBF Cruiserweight champion, Steve “USS” is hours away from boarding a plane to Bielefeld, Germany where he will defend his title against mandatory challenger Marco Huck on December 29th in the challengers hometown..

Cunningham, 20-1 with ten knockouts will be making his first defense of the crown he won on May 26th in Poland when he scored a unanimous decision from Krysztof Wlodarczyk in Poland. This will be Cunningham’s third straight fight on foreign soil and third consecutive fight around a major holiday. The first fight with Wlodarczyk was on Thanksgiving weekend, the second was on Memorial Day weekend and this bout falls four days after Christmas.

“I am excited to get to Germany and defend my title. I have had a great training camp and I am in the best shape as I expect the best out of Marco. He has earned his chance but I am determined to retain my title and then get back home to Philadelphia and enjoy a late Christmas with my family as the IBF Cruiserweight champion of the world”
