Hide vs. Nasyrov, Solis vs. Long Tonight

23.12.07 - Arena’s Cuban “heavyweight sensation” Odlanier Solis will go into his fight for the vacant WBC Latino Championship against Julius Long at the lowest weight of his pro career so far. At today’s official weigh-in the 2004 Olympic Champion brought 247.5 lbs. (112.3 kg). His opponent, 7-foot-1-giant Julius Long, goes into the fight with 256.6 lbs.. (116.4 kg). In the main event former world heavyweight champion Herbie Hide (weighing in at 199.5 lbs. / 90.5 kg) faces unbeaten Russian prospect Mikhail Nasyrov (193.1 lbs. / 87.6 kg) for the vacant WBC international cruiserweight championship.

The sold-out show starts at 6 p.m. and features 10 fights in total including four title fights. Eurosport (Germany) and Fox Türk (Turkey) will broadcast LIVE from Halle’s famous Maritim-Hotel.
