The Morrison vs. Weisharr bout will be featured on the PPV broadcast.
"I decided to give it a final whirl in 2008," said Morrison. "I just started training after the holidays, but I'm at the point where I have to do it now, if I'm going to do it at all. My girlfriend got tired of me sitting around the house all day, and told me to start fighting again, or go get a real job."
Morrison (47-3-1, 41 KOs) had only one fight in 2007, scoring a third-round knockout in West Virginia.
"If my hands hold up, I'd like to fight once a month," said Morrison, an Oklahoma native who now fights out of Southern California. "We'll take it one fight at a
time, and see how it goes. But it's sure a good feeling to be back in the ring again."
Also on the card: WBC champ Edgar Sosa of Mexico defends his 108-pound title against Azul Uribe; Mexican middleweights Jose Luis Zertuche and Marco Antonio Rubio battle for the WBC Americas title; and Filipino featherweight Bernabe Concepcion takes on Juan Ruiz.
"Latin Fury" is on Pay Per View with a suggested retail of $34.95. Fight fans can contact their PPV provider to order
