Leading New York based marketing firm, Global Advertising Strategies has been chosen to drive the multicultural media and advertising campaign for the upcoming 12 round heavyweight unification bout, between Ukraine’s Wladimir Klitschko and Russia’s Sultan Ibragimov. The winner will become the unified Heavyweight World Champion. This great match-up will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday February 23rd..

Working closely with both, K2 Promotions and Seminole Boxing, Global is running a national integrated marketing campaign to drive awareness of the historical unification bout especially within the Russian and Ukrainian communities. The integrated marketing campaign consists of television spots, billboards, print and radio advertising to the U.S.’s multicultural market.

“Not since the match up between Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield in 1999 has there been a heavyweight championship fight of such proportions, in the boxing capital of the world – New York City,” said Boris Chernyy, Vice-President of Project Development for Global Advertising Strategies.

“We are happy to be working with Global,” said Tom Loeffler, Manager of K2 Promotions, “they achieved great results by increasing the awareness of this historic event, especially within the Russian and Ukrainian communities both in the U.S. and internationally.”

Leon Margules, CEO of Seminole Warriors Boxing stated, “having Global handle our multicultural marketing once again was a natural choice – they understand the sport, and more importantly they know the multicultural sports fan across the U.S.”
