Evander Holyfield Ringside For Haye/Maccarinelli

07.03.08 - Enzo Maccarinelli has vowed to unify the cruiserweight division on Saturday night in front of one of his boyhood hereos, Evander Holyfield. The Real Deal will be ringside on Saturday night at the O2 Arena to witness the WBA/WBC/WBO world title match up between Maccarinelli and David Haye..

Holyfield, 45, is arguably the greatest ever cruiserweight, holding versions of the world title between 1986 and 1988.

All five of his world title wins ended inside the distance, and he unified the division in 1988 when he beat Carlos De Leon in Las Vegas.

And he went on to repeat the feat at heavyweight.

" Holyfield was an inspiration when I was younger, and knowing that he will be ringside ahead of the biggest fight of my career is a massive boost," said 27-year-old Maccarinelli.

" He unified the cruiserweight division, and I'm aiming to do the same on Saturday night. Haye is the man to beat and that's why I took this fight."

Holyfield, currently in the UK to promote his autobiography, said: "I've heard a lot about both of these young guys, and hearing how explosive they both are, I just had to be ringside."
