Linton and Beaupierre on ESPN2

26.07.04 - Emmett Linton (24-4-2, 12KO’s) will face an up and coming prospect Dorian “Quiet Storm” Beaupierre (11-1-2, 5KO’s) at the Battle at the Boat XXX. The bout will be the main event on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.

Beaupierre is originally from The Commonwealth of Dominica and now he trains out of Newark, New Jersey with former lightweight contender, Johnny Persol. Even though Beaupierre is a last minute replacement for the injured Alex Bunema his manager Andre Kut said that they have done their homework and this fight is no walk in the park, but they are coming out to win.

Emmett Linton started boxing in Tacoma, Washington at a young age and has a considerable fan base in the community. In talking to his trainer, a former Tacoma boxer and World Boxing Champion, Johnny “Bump City” Bumphus he stressed that Linton is ready to come out and win.

Also the Semi-Main Event Chad Van Sickle (17-0-2, 12KO’s) and Luke Munsen (16-1-0, 11KO’s) is expected to be a great fight with the vacant Continental Americas Cruiserweight Title up for grabs. Munsen is out to put a spot on Van Sickle’s record and Van Sickle is ready to defend his undefeated record. Both fighters strive to obtain the title in this exciting 10 round semi-main event.

The undercard can also be announced at this time:

Angelo Torres vs. Cesar Garcia

Marcus Pernell vs. Enoch Green

Donnie Smith vs. Jonathan Williams

After a crazy week of looking for a replacement, “We have a show!!” exclaimed the elated promoter Brian Halquist. This ESPN2 Friday Night Fight put on by The Emerald Queen Casino and Brian Halquist Productions, Inc. will prove to be another exciting episode of the Battle at the Boat.

Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations; charge by phone, and at The Emerald Queen Casino.
