Billy Lyell Headlines Charleston, WV Card on July 25th

22.07.08 - By Thomas Scherr: Junior middleweight contender Billy Lyell will be headlining the July 25th card at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, WV. His opponent is still to be named. While only 23 years old, Billy Lyell 16W(3KO)-5L is an established veteran in the ring. He has been fighting since 2003, and while not know as a power puncher, Lyell is a gutsy veteran that can give anyone in the division a tough fight.. Lyell went 8 tough rounds with rising stud James Kirkland on Showtime's Shobox series before finally succumbing in the eighth round. After a tough 2007, Lyell has rallied back in 2008, earning a victory in his only fight this year. He hopes to continue his rise the top of the division July 25th.

The night will also feature a battle for the West Virginia State middleweight title between Alex Grady 9W (4KO)-2L and Cecil Yost 4W-3L-1D. Grady has established a solid record to date but is largely untested to this point in his career and that will all change this Friday night. Cecil Yost's has been mathed tough his entire career, so his record is a bit deceiving. In his eight fights, he has fought four undefeated fighters, and has always represented himself well. He is coming in with a three fight unbeaten streak, and looks to extend that this weekend.

Also fighting in separate bouts will be former toughman champions Wes Lane and Jason Pauley. Rounding out the card is Valerie Defreitas.
