Olympic Bronze Medalist Rhoshii Wells Dead At Age 31

13.08.08 - By Vivek Wallace: The world of boxing lost a 'Great One' on Tuesday afternoon in a very tragic case. According to sources, 1996 Olympic Bronze Medalist, Rhoshii Wells was gunned down as he walked through a Las Vegas neighborhood accompanied by his 4 year old son.

Former Heavyweight Champion Lamon Brewster, who knew Wells since 1993 remembered him as "a friend to everybody", and went on to add that "he never got the credit he should have gotten"..

A father, a brother, a son, and an athelete; Wells was so many things to so many people, and after a boxing career that saw him earn an Olympic medal at age 19, this sudden ending is a tragedy in it's highest form.

Eastside Boxing would like to offer its strongest condolences to the Wells family, and pray that God not only give them the strength to overcome their pain, but perhaps a better understanding for his ultimate plan behind it.

In life, Wells touched the hearts of many, and in death, his spiritual presence will undoubtedly touch the lives of even more. May his soul rest in peace.

( I encourage every reader to take a moment and send a donation to the Wells Family. Any donation will help and is greatly appreciated.
