Battle at the Boat XXXI: Douglas vs. Zumbrun

09.09.04 - Northwest fight fans are in for exciting heavyweight action as Billy Zumbrun (14-5-1, 7KO’s) will face Billy Douglas (7-2-0, 6KO’s) for 10 rounds in the main event of the Emerald Queen Casino’s Battle at the Boat Boxing Series this Saturday night. “You can tell when you’ve matched a good fight,” promoter Brian Halquist said.

“People don’t know who’s going to win and we’ve had lots of people split over who’s going to win”.

Douglas is the younger brother of James “Buster” Douglas who scored one of the biggest upsets in Boxing History with his knock out win over then undefeated heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. James “Buster” Douglas will be at the fight working his brother’s corner.

The Undercard is as follows:

Hector Alejandro (8-1-0, 5KO’s) vs. John Trigg (12-25-5, 3KO’s) a 6 round Super lightweight bout.

David Hernandez (3-0-1, 2KO’s) vs. David Torres (4-0-0, 3KO’s) a 4 round Welterweight bout.

Marcus Pernell (4-0-0, 3KO’s) vs. Jeremy Boyd (4-1-0, 3KO’s) a 4 round Light Heavyweight bout.

Beto Garcia (1-0-1) vs. Stanley Robinson (0-1-0) a 4 round Lightweight bout.

Daniel Gonzales (Pro-debut) vs. Curtis Frost (4-3-0, 2KO’s) a 4 round Welterweight bout.

Tickets are $75-40-20 and are available at the Emerald Queen Casino and all Ticketmaster locations.
