Jameson Bostic Back in the Mix
13/04/09 - by Craig Hardie - April 21st Auckland, New Zealand will bring the resumption of Jameson Bostic's professional boxing career. Bostic a 25 year old Light-Heavyweight from Brooklyn, New York sports a 13-3-0 professional record with some handy wins over Marcus Upshaw, Toris Brewer and Juan Carlos Lamberti. Local Auckland promoter Craig Thomson has organised a series of "comeback" bouts for Bostic including one bout in Apia, Samoa against veteran banger Seiuate "The Hurricane" Mailata. Craig Thomson says "Jameson is as keen to fight as we are to promote him in this part of the world. This is just the beginning, Jameson has been inactive for 12 months so we are looking at getting him active again shaking the rust and then looking towards bigger and better things for him in the near future.."

Bostic had a tough start to his professional career going 2-3-0 from his first five including a loss to contender start Max Alexander, but he has proven to be a tough customer having never been stopped. Since his points loss to Alexander Bostic has gone 11-0 , but it has been getting regular ring time that has slowed Bostics progress. Promoter Craig Thomson has confirmed 3 fights for Botsic inside a month possibly even a fourth which will have Bostic more active than he has been in 18 months. The next few months of Bostics career look to be interesting times, can he bounce back into the race for a title shot with a series of impressive showings in New Zealand and Samoa? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure...........the kid has a ton of potential and his heart set on becomming a World Champion.
