Yuri Foreman to Fight at Madison Square Garden November 13th

10.14.04 - Undefeated rising junior middleweight star Yuri Foreman (15-0) will be fighting on the DKP heavyweight extravaganza November 13th in Madison Square Garden in New York City, Cedric Kushner, his promoter, said today. Foreman, who had been training for an eight-round fight on the October 14th F.I.S.T. event, withdrew from the card when there was insufficient monies allocated for that bout.

Kushner said, “The October 14th event is scaled to gross close to a million dollars, and Yuri’s management, with my support, decided he should not be fighting for two thousand dollars. He should be focusing on his fight at the Garden on November 13th instead.”

The Joint Association of Boxers (JAB) did successfully intervene on behalf of the boxers, however Foreman’s camp decided to forego the event completely in order to remain focused on the Madison Square Garden bout next month.
