CHICAGO, IL (May 25, 2009) Surrounded by the hustle of White Sox fans headed to see their favorites at Cellular Field late on Friday afternoon, Jaime “SUPERFLY” Sandoval trained in the eerily quiet at the Windy City Boxing Gym for his rematch against Juan Carlos “EL PEZ” Martinez this Friday night at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion. The Sandoval/Martinez ten round rematch for WBF Americas Lightweight Title headlines “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 2”, an outstanding evening of world class professional boxing presented by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions, “HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING..

The first Sandoval/Martinez bout took place on October 19, 2007 at Cicero Stadium. The decision win went to Martinez in an epic eight round bout that saw both warriors bruised and battered as they fought to a very close finish in front of their legions of loyal fans. Martinez was declared the victor by scores of 78-74, 78-74 and 77-75.

“I feel better about this bout, he won the first time around but I know I can fight much better. I’m very excited to be fighting in Chicago in front of my friends and family. My last two fights were out of town so this is perfect” said Sandoval.

Said Ric Ramos, who trains Sandoval along with head trainer Sam Colonna, “Jimmy’s in great shape, he’s had excellent sparring and he knows how important getting his revenge against Martinez is. His focus has been terrific, everyday here at the gym he’s had a single focus about beating this guy; it’s become an obsession, but a healthy one..”

Since the first Martinez bout, Sandoval, has fought twice, performing at his very best in taking an eight round decision over previously undefeated and highly regarded prospect Argenis Mendez in Denver in October of 2008.

He followed that up with another outstanding performance against undefeated prospect Rashad Ganaway, earning a majority draw in Ganaway’s hometown of Harligen, Texas on March 28th.

In his five year career, Sandoval, the brother of former world champion Jesus Chavez, has compiled a record of 15-3-1 (2KO’s) with seven knockouts. Martinez brings a record of 15-10-1 with seven knockouts into the rematch.

The co-main event at “WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 2” will feature sensational bantamweight prospect Eric “EL LOCO” Estrada in his toughest test against El Paso, Texas native Olvin Mejia of Laredo, Texas .

Also featured on the seven bout card will be Chicagoans Sergio Montes De Oca, Russell Fiore, Sergio Cristobal, Juan Carlos Fernandez, Jose Hernandez and Tony Maldonado.

BALTIMORE, MD (May 23, 2009) Tickets are now on sale as Chet Koerner’s TKO BOXING Promotions and Scott Wagner's Ballroom Boxing team up once again to present an evening of world class professional boxing on Thursday, June 18th at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD., just outside of Baltimore.

Featured at BALLROOM BOXING will be popular junior middleweight prospect Jessie “THE BEAST” Nicklow as well as undefeated welterweight James “KEEP’EM SLEEPIN” Stevenson in separate bouts.

The 22 year old Nicklow, 19-1-1 (7KO’s), will be looking to bounce back after losing an eight round decision to George Rivera on November 1st. Nicklow had previous beaten Rivera in their first bout two months earlier.

The heavy handed Stevenson has won all eight of his professional bouts by knockout, six within the first two rounds. He is coming off a second round stoppage of Dwayne Shelton on April 30th.

Also returning at BALLROOM BOXING will be world ranked featherweight Matt “THE SHARP SHOOTER” Remillard, 17-0-0 (9KO’s), of Hartford, Connecticut .

At the last BALLROOM BOXING event on April 2nd, Remillard impressed the Baltimore crowd with an outstanding third round stoppage of former world title challenger Jesus Perez.

Crowd pleasing local middleweight prospect Julius Kennedy, 5-1-0 (2KO’s) will also be making his return at BALLROOM BOXING, having stopped James Denson in the fourth round on the April 2nd show.

Rounding out the BALLROOM BOXING card is the Baltimore debut of highly touted undefeated Dominican prospects; super featherweight Delvin Plascencia, 15-0-0 (6KO’s) and junior welterweight Francisco Contreras, 8-0-0 (8KO’s) Both outstanding prospects are guided by award winning manager, Cameron Dunkin.


RAFAEL VALENZUELA MAKES DEBUT IN HOUSTON THURSDAY NIGHT

SENSATIONAL JUNIOR FEATHERWEIGHT PROSPECT FEATURED AT ARENA THEATRE SHOW

HOUSTON, TX (May 25, 2009) Sensational junior featherweight prospect Rafael Valenzuela has finished preparations and is headed to Houston, Texas for his featured showdown against Columbian veteran Jose Garcia Bernal at “THE BEATDOWN IN H-TOWN, set for this Thursday night, May 28th, at the Arena Theatre.

“THE BEATDOWN IN H-TOWN”, an evening of world class professional boxing, is presented by Chet Koerner’s TKO BOXING Promotions, curators of the nationally acclaimed “HOMETOWN HEROES TO WORLD CHAMPIONS” boxing series.

The 23 year old Valenzuela, 12-1-0 with six knockouts, is amongst the hottest prospects in boxing. In his last bout he squared off against the much more experienced Yogli Herrera and battled to an eight round decision at the Reno Events Center on February 14th.

“The Herrera fight was my best win. He had a lot more experience but I was able to figure him out and get the win. It was a tough fight but a true learning experience for me" said Valenzuela.

About the upcoming bout with Bernal, 27-15-1 (18KO’s), the Phoenix resident said, “I haven’t seen him fight but I’m confident that with my preparations for this bout that I’ll be able to adjust to whatever he tries.”

In his only bout of 2008, Valenzuela took a fight on very short notice against fellow prospect Steve Cannon on March 1st, winning the fight by second round stoppage and

taking home the WBO NABO featherweight title.

Said Valenzuela about 2009 and the move back down to junior featherweight; “I’m glad to be staying much busier this year. The TKO team and my manager Cameron Dunkin have done an excellent job. I feel stronger at 122 and look forward to fighting as much as possible this year.”

Along with the win over Herrera, Valenzuela also knocked out Robert DaLuz in the first round on January 23rd in Las Vegas .
