Results from Finland - Lauri beats Tolppola by DQ!
By Per Ake Persson: May 30, Helsinki, Finland: Italian Giuseppe Lauri defended the EU jr welter title with a controversial tenth round disqualification win over Finn Juhu Tolppola after a hard-fought, foul-filled, messy fight. Tolppola was "up" for this fight but partly blew it already at the end of the first when he headbutted Lauri.. That resulted in a two-point deduction from British referee Howard Foster. Another point was taken in the sixth for either holding or low blows. Finally, in the tenth round, Foster dq'd Tolppola, who was behind on points on all three cards. In my opinion Lauri was just as guilty as Juho but committed his "crimes" in a slicker, more polished way and when the Finn retaliated he became the guilty one. A bad break for Tolppola, who´s improved but needs a colder head.

Sauerland Event´s First Lady, Cecilia Braekhus retained the WBC and WBA titles with a ten round unanimous decision over American Amy Yuratovac. All judges scored the fight 98-92 for Braekhus in a no knockdown affair.
The Norwegian lady scored at times with good combinations but overall her timing was a little bit off against a short, slugging opponent, who appeared to have decent power.
Heavyweight Robert Helenius scored a sixth round KO over Scott Gammer.
