23.11.03 – By Don Cato: Oscar Larios of Mexico defended his WBC Super-Bantamweight crown by knocking out challenger Napapol Kiatlisakchicchoi in the 10th round of a 12-round bout on Saturday night at the Olympic Auditorium. Larios (50-3-1, 35 KOs) from the opening bell was on the attack. In the second round, Larios twice caught Napapol with strong rights to the head. The second punch would have decapitated most normal fighters, but Napapol was barely fazed.
During the next 8 rounds, Larios delivered a one sided beating to Napapol, which finally ended in the 10th round when Larios connected with a big hook to the head of Napapol, snapping his head back, and then sent him to the canvas with a series of furious blows.The referee Marcos Rosales rushed in immediately and stopped the bout before any more damage could be inflicted.
