News: Rodriguez -Hlatshwayo Live Online Tonight; Minto-Holmes PPV Web Stream

Delvin Rodriguez, his opponent Isaac Hlatshwayo and the rest of the participants of the Star Boxing promoted card weighed-in today at the Mohegan Sun. Rodriguez vs. Hlatshwayo is for the vacant IBF Welterweight Championship of the World, and is a much anticipated rematch of their highly entertaining bout that took place back in November of last year which resulted in a draw. The entire card will be broadcast live via Pay-Per-View ($9.95) on GoFightLive.tv Below is the scheduled bout sheet for Saturday night's show with the weights..

UNCASVILLE, CT (August 1ST, 2009)—TONIGHT one of the most anticipated fights of the year will take place on the heels of a terrific fight last fall in South Africa, Delvin Rodriguez & Isaac Hlatshawayo will be vying for the vacant IBF Welterweight championship in a rematch that will be shown live all over the world on www.gofightlive.tv beginning at 8pm eastern time and has a suggested retail price of just $9.95

Fans can also witness a full six bout undercard that will feature some major prospects and contenders.

U.S. Olympic star Demetrius Andrade will take on the most experienced opponent to date when he risks his record of 5-0 against twenty-four fight veteran Chad Greenleaf.

Also seeing action is Middleweight contender Tarvis Simms (24-0-1, 11 KO’s) as he takes on Marcus Upshaw (11-3-1).

Top prospect Raymond Serrano (9-0) and Light Heavyweight Yathomas Riley (6-0) will look to stay undefeated in separate bouts as well as an appearance from the popular Maureen Shea in an eight round ladies attraction.

Butler, PA – NESportsTV.com in association with Mintofight.com is proud to present the 12 round heavyweight bout between Butler, Pennsylvania’s Brian “The Beast Minto (33-2, 21 KO’s) and Donnell “The Real Touch of Sleep” Holmes (31-0-2, 27 KO’s) Friday August 14th from Pullman Park.

The fight will be streaming live as part of a PPV broadcast. It will also be archived for viewing following the live fight. Cost of viewing is $10 USD in the United States and 7.03 EUR in Europe.

Brian Minto has become a fan favorite for his crowd pleasing style and everyman attitude. He’s been regularly featured on ESPN, HBO PPV undercards and RTL in Germany. He is currently ranked #8 by the WBO.

Minto has won six straight fights and 15 of his last 16. He has notable wins over former world title challenger Axel Schulz and tough veterans such as Vinnie Maddalone, Billy Zumbrun and Danny Batchelder.

The fight with Holmes will mark the first time he’s worked with elite trainer Freddie Roach, who currently trains pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao and junior welterweight titleholder Amir Khan. He’s also worked with Oscar De La Hoya, Mike Tyson, Bernard Hopkins, James Toney and countless other world champions in the past.

Donnell Holmes is a resident of Ivanhoe, North Carolina and is currently ranked #13 by the WBC. He was formerly promoted by hall of famer Don King and got the nickname “Real Touch of Sleep” after former world title challenger Davarryl “Touch of Sleep” Williamson began using the same nickname as him.
