On the Ropes is back in action with our sterling hostess, the fabulous Miss Jenna J, along with her co-host Nick Powers and her special weekly guest, yours truly (aka-Rummy). This week’s episode will begin with a discussion of Saturday night’s fights. First up, we will analyze Mikkel Kessler’s win against Gusmyl Perdomo and Andre Ward’s victory over Shelby Pudwill. Kessler and Ward are both scheduled to face off in November as a part of Showtime’s super middleweight tournament. We will share our thoughts on how we think that final first round contest will unfold between Kessler and Ward. We will also briefly touch on Julio Cesar Chavez Junior’s first round knockout over Jason LeHoullier and discuss where he goes from here. We will also be giving our thoughts on the latest episode of HBO’s “24/7” series dedicated to the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Juan Manuel Marquez mega fight..

Next up, we will have a discussion with boxing trainer Jack Loew. Loew is the trainer of middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik and is the owner of the South Side Boxing Club in Youngstown, Ohio. We will discuss his career as a trainer, talk about the various boxers he has worked with, chat about his experience in leading Kelly Pavlik to the middleweight championship, and ask numerous questions about his life both inside and outside of the boxing world as we get his opinions on the current boxing landscape. We will also ask Loew about Pavlik’s next bout which is rumored to be December 4 against Paul “The Punisher".

We will also have another special guest this week, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero. Guerrero recently won the IBF super featherweight title from Macolm Klassen in a very impressive effort. We will talk to “The Ghost” about his experiences in that fight, ask questions about his career, get his opinions on the current super featherweight landscape, and talk about his future and what is next for him inside the squared circle.

Finally, we will be discussing some upcoming matches, highlighted by the upcoming mega bout between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Juan Manual Marquez. We will give you our final analysis and predictions on this fight and what we expect to see unfold inside the ring. We will also talk about the upcoming rematch between Chris John and Rocky Juarez. Their first fight ended in a controversial draw in which most observers felt that John deserved to win. We will give our thoughts and predictions on this fight, and discuss ways that former guest Juarez can improve in the return bout that has John’s WBA strap on the line. We will also touch on the upcoming fight between Vicente Escobedo and Michael Katsidis for the.interim WBO lightweight tite, a fight which is also on the Mayweather vs Marquez undercard.

Listeners are encouraged to call in and share their thoughts on the latest boxing news and to provide questions and comments for our special guests, Jack Loew and Robert Guerrero. Also, if you have any questions for our guests and are unable to call in or access our message boards, please leave a comment here and we will try our best to get your questions out on the show.
