Vitali Klitschko - Chris Arreola Fight Night Photos and Videos

28.09.09 - In an excellent, crowd-pleasing, one-sided battle, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko impressively retained his title with a 10th-round TKO over game but outclassed No. 1 contender Cristobal Arreola Saturday night at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif. It was a successful return for Klitschko to the Staples Center, where he made a name for himself in a loss to Lennox Lewis in 2003 and won the WBC title the next year. Ringside punch statistics showed Klitschko threw 802 punches, a huge amount for a heavyweight, and landed 301 of them. Arreola was credited with landing 86 of 331 punches..

At the post-fight press conference, Klitschko (38-2, 37 KOs) is shown shaking hands with the previously undefeated Arreola (27-1, 24 KOs), sitting with his WBC belt and trainer Fritz Sdunek and answering reporters' questions.

Later, Vitali and his brother, Wladimir, the IBF/WBO/IBO and Ring champion, are interviewed on a German TV station.
