HAROLD BRAZIER LAUNCHING COMEBACK
24.11.03 - Boxing returns to Northwest Indiana Friday, December 5 at the Omega Sports Complex here with super middleweight prospect Shay Mobley headlining the card in an eight round I.N.B.A. title bout. Mobley, who took the title from Indianapolis fireman Chris Lytle in a sensational brawl on promoter Octavious James' card October 17, will be facing Wayne Cooper of Evansville, Indiana. In the spirit of the season, Mobley will donate a portion of his purse to local children charities. "We believe Shay is the best prospect in the area," said James. "He is a committed athlete and has the discipline, tenacity and skills to become a top contender."

Fight fans will get a blast-from-the-past, as former N.A.B.F., U.S.B.A and #1 world contender Harold Brazier makes his return to the ring at the age of forty seven. Brazier, has been training for six months and is anxious to get back in the ring. "I'm in better shape now than I was for my last fight six years ago," commented Brazier. Brazier was scheduled to box Brooke Wellby of Canada; However, Wellby was cut in his bout on November 15 and was forced to withdraw.
The "Holiday Boxing Bash" will feature Hammond's Ruben Galvan in a six round lightweight bout along with the popular "Mexican Connection" Juan Aguilar of Whiting in a super welterweight bout. Kokomo, Indiana's Jeff Baker will make his Northwest Indiana debut in a scheduled four round bout. Baker is a light-heavyweight.
