Mosley vs Mayweather -- Click here to listen to the show -- by Jenna J - As always, this week's edition of On the Ropes will start at its regularly scheduled time, 6pm Eastern Time. You can listen live by clicking the “play” on the player or click here to enter our chat in the blogtalk message board; you can also call into the show at (646)716-5404.

On the Ropes is back in action! Join me Jenna J, the Hostess, along with my Co-Host Nick Powers and my spectacular Producer/ Weekly Guest, the ever insightful Geoffrey Ciani (aka-Rummy). This week’s episode will kick off with a discussion about this past weekend’s fights, starting off with the sensational comeback victory for former heavyweight contender David Tua..

Returning for the first time after a layoff of almost two years, we will analyze Tua’s second round knockout victory against fellow New Zealander Shane Cameron and discuss where he goes from here. We will also talk about Allan Green’s unanimous decision victory against Tarvis Simms as well as Antoine Smith’s ninth round stoppage against the undefeated Henry Crawford.

Next up will be an exclusive interview with Sugar Shane Mosley. We had a chance to talk with the recognized welterweight champion late last week, and we will play our pre-recorded interview with Shane during the live show as soon as we are done discussing last week’s notable fights. We discussed a variety of subjects with the Sugar Man, including his thoughts on Floyd Mayweather, his long absence from the ring following his tremendous upset victory against Antonio Margarito, and when we can expect him to make a return to the ring, amongst other things. Be sure to tune in and hear what Mosley had to say.

After that, I am very proud to announce we have a special presentation that is the first of its kind in OTR history. On Thursday night October 8, Savarese Promotions is proud to present “Fists of Furty” at the Hilton Americas Houston. This will be Lou’s second promotional event. Highlighting the card is a heavyweight showdown between Steve Collins who carries a 20-1 record and Darrell Madison whose record stands at 14-1. We will talk to Lou about the fight card and get his thoughts on the event. We will also have both Collins and Madison on simultaneously—LIVE—to discuss their upcoming match-up. Be sure to tune in and listen to Collins and Madison share their thoughts on their upcoming encounter.

Finally, we will be discussing some upcoming fights and the latest news on boxing. First up, we will discuss the long-awaited return of Israel Vazquez, who is returning to the ring following eye surgery in a non-title warm-up fight against Angel Antonio Priolo. Also, former guest Fres Oquendo is back in action when he takes on Odlanier Solis in a heavyweight match-up. We will discuss our thoughts and give our predictions for these upcoming fights. We will also discuss the latest breaking numbers which show that, contrary to popular belief, boxing is not a dying sport as evidenced by the fact that the recent Mayweather-Marquez mega-bout did over one million buys while the inferior MMA PPV even did less than half a million.

Listeners are encouraged to call in and share their thoughts on the latest boxing news and to provide questions and comments for our special guests Darrel Madison, Steve Collins and Lou Savarese. Also, if you have any questions for our guests and are unable to call in or access our message boards, please leave a comment here and we will try our best to get your questions out on the show.

Be sure to tune in!
