Super Six World Boxing Classic: Froch and Dirrell ready to wage war on Primetime
NOTTINGHAM (October 17th ,2009) – All the talking and the training has been done and now all that remains is for Carl “The Cobra” Froch and Andre “The Maxtrix” Dirrell to wage war in their Super Six World Boxing Classic showdown at the Trent FM Arena tonight (well shortly after 2am to be precise).
The two undefeated fighters clash in a WBC Super Middleweight title fight which will also see both men kick off their Super Six tournament campaigns. American hotshot Dirrell has promised to rip the title away from hometown hero Froch but Nottingham’s World Champion insists he’s going to repay the support of a packed Trent FM Arena with another exciting victory to stretch his unbeaten run to 26 straight wins.
With the last few extra tickets being eagerly snapped by fight fans today the only way for non ticket holders to watch the action live in the UK or Ireland is on Primetime (Sky Channel 480).
The bout is live on pay per view as part of a knockout Super Six tournament double header from Nottingham and Berlin. The tournament officially kicks off in Germany when former marquee Middleweight Champs Arthur Abraham and Jermain Taylor clash at The O2 World Arena in Berlin before the action moves to Froch’s hometown and the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham.
