Miguel Cotto Arrives in Vegas This Sunday. Fans Invited

LAS VEGAS, NV. (October 30, 2009) – Three-time world champion MIGUEL COTTO breaks his Tampa training camp and heads to Las Vegas Sunday, November 1. Cotto fans are invited to greet the champ at McCarran International Airport when he arrives at 3:55 p.m. PT on America Airlines #2249. Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs), from Caguas, Puerto Rico, who has held a world title every year since 2004, has been in training since August, preparing for his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight championship defense against boxing’s No. 1 attraction and pound for pound fighter Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao (49-3-2, 27 KOs), of General Santos City, Philippines..

Promoted by Top Rank, in association with MP Promotions, Miguel Cotto Promotions, MGM Grand and Tecate, Firepower: Pacquiao vs. Cotto will take place Saturday, November 14 at the sold out MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. and will be produced and distributed Live on HBO Pay-Per-View®, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

HBO's® fast-moving reality series "24/7 Pacquiao/Cotto" returns with an all new episode Saturday, October 31 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. The four-episode series chronicles the preparations and back stories of both fighters as they train for their November 14 pay-per-view showdown. Episode one is available on HBO ON DEMAND®.


HBO SPORTS® TO REPLAY PACQUIAO VS. DE LA HOYA 2008 & COTTO VS. CLOTTEY 2009 ON HBO2 AS A SPECIAL PREVIEW TO THE UPCOMING PACQUIAO VS. COTTO PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT

OCT. 30, 2009 – Leading up to the mega-fight featuring superstars Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto – set for Saturday, November 14 and broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View® – HBO Sports will present the exclusive replay of a high profile showdown that showcases both fighters remarkable ring skills.

On Friday, November 6 at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT) and Saturday, November 7 at 10:45 a.m. (ET/PT), HBO2 will replay back-to-back Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya 2008 and Cotto vs. Clottey 2009. Two highly anticipated fights, both culminating with spectacular endings. Pacquiao, boxing’s reigning pound-for- pound king, solidified his standing with his 8th round TKO triumph over Oscar de la Hoya on December 6, 2008 in Las Vegas, while Miguel Cotto reinforced his elite status last June 13 in New York’s Madison Square Garden with a tough split decision victory over Joshua Clottey in a sizzling showdown.

The fights will also be available to HBO On Demand® subscribers and can be seen 24 hours a day, from Monday, November 9 thru Wednesday, November 25.

On Saturday, November 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT, HBO Pay-Per-View will present Pacquiao vs. Cotto live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
