By Per Ake Persson: Sauerland Event are trying to get retired Danish heavy Brian Nielsen, 44, to comeback and take on Evander Holyfield, 47. Nielsen, 65-2, retired six years agoafter a long and hard career and had big problems with his knee that was the actual reason for his retirement. Nielsen tells Danish news agency Ritzau a comeback wonīt happen until - if possible - he has his knee fixed. The comeback plans have made big headlines in Denmark where Nielsen was a superstar. As for Holyfield, well, somehow it seems as if Sauerland forgot to tell him about the Nielsen fight but he tells Ekstrabladet heīs interested.. As for money itīs claimed in media that Sauerland has offered Nielsen a million EUR. To this reporter Nielsen has had his best days during the 90īs - he looked past his prime even when he fought Mike Tyson in 2001. As for Holyfield, well, compare the Holyfield that beat Dwight Muhammad Quawi and the Evander we see today and draw your own conclusion.
