Solo Boxeo Tecate viewers to jump in judges' seats and score the character of their boxer
MIAMI (Sept. 17, 2010) – TeleFutura, one of the largest Spanish-language networks in the U.S. and the ideal entertainment alternative for Hispanics across the nation, Tecate, cerveza con carácter, and Golden Boy Promotions, are giving adult consumers an opportunity to be part of the action by voting for the boxer with the most character during the network’s weekly boxing program Solo Boxeo Tecate.

This interactive feature, named Cinturón Tecate, is launching during the September 17 broadcast as part of Mexican Bicentennial Independence Day celebration. This week, consumers 21 and older will have a chance to vote for the co-main event featuring, Luis Ramos Junior and John Figueroa, who will be fighting live from outside STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
During each Friday telecast (11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST/10:30 p.m. Central), adult boxing aficionados throughout the U.S. will be invited by commentators Bernardo Osuna and Ricardo Celis to vote for the boxers in the main event who showcased the most talent, tenacity and boldness, via text message to 55333. Qualifying voters will receive free ring tones and wall papers for their cell phones to make them feel closer to the action.
TeleFutura will feature a 2-minute vignette of the winner, allowing fans an inside peek into the lives, challenges, and passions of these boxers.
