Frank Warren Gives Groves 48 Hours To Accept DeGale Offer
Promoter Frank Warren has given George Groves 48 hours to accept a fight with James DeGale. Groves has repeatedly called out the Londoner in the media. And now he has the opportunity to get the fight he claims he wants, after Warren sent Hayemaker Promotions a written offer at 1pm today offering Groves the fight on December 11. "I have written to Groves formally offering him a fight against DeGale," said Warren, who is assembling a blockbuster show to celebrate his 30th year as a promoter. "He will not got better money elsewhere. "It's the fight he keeps saying he wants, now we will find out whether he is man enough to back up his word..

"If he doesn't accept the very generous offer within 48 hours, then he will not be getting another chance.
"James will be well beyond the likes of Groves by early 2011, so it really is a case of take it or leave it."
DeGale, who needed less than a round to blitz Carl Dilks on Saturday, added: "I've said all along that I will fight Groves, and nothing has changed.
"I'll be more than happy to shut him up once and for all on December 11.
"But after seeing me on Saturday night, I'm not sure he will fancy it."
As of 6pm today, Warren has had no formal response from Groves' promoter.
Warren has also opened negotiations with the promoters of Jurgen Braemer.
The German is the current WBO light-heavyweight champion, and is due to make a defence of his title against number one contender Nathan Cleverly.
Warren is keen for the Welshman to take on Braemer on December 11 as well.
