The former Olympian and outstanding professional sports a record of 15-1, 6 KOs and indicates he would be happy to face any of the three "anywhere and any time"..
"With all due respect, I think I'm the world's best Irish middleweight and I'll fight any of them, or all three of them to prove it."
Orr's promoter, Nick Garone of X-Cel Worldwide, say if Duddy or Lee are hesitant to sign to fight Macklin, his fighter has no such hesitation. "Donnie is as tough as they come and he's been to the Olympics and proven himself a very skilled professional with an aggressive style. He's too tough to admit it, but he was fighting injured when he suffered a razor-thin loss in his last fight. If any of these guys think they'd have an easy time again Donnie, let's see them try."
Garone also says he wants to put an idea forth to all the various camps. "We've got Andy Lee, John Duddy, Matthew Macklin, Donnie Boy Orr and a kid in Chicago named Henry Coyle who are all Irish and fight right around middleweight. Why not have a tournament between all these kids and truly determine the World's Best Irish middleweight?"
Garone says he will be reaching out to all the fighters' camps and hopes they do the same to settle this debate once and for all.
