By Paul Wheeler: Carl Froch fights to regain his WBC Super-middleweight belt against Arthur Abraham on Nov 27th.
After dropping his belt to Mikkel Kessler back in April the WBC have sanctioned the Nov 27th clash as a title fight for the vacant belt.
Froch who has always contested the decision in his war against Kessler is looking forward to the chance of re establishing himself as a World Champion stating at a recent press conference, “Ring ding, goes down the plastic King on November 27th.”
As ever Froch appears to be extremely confident but will his toe to toe style be the right tactical plan against a big hitter like Abraham?
Both fighters coming off their first professional losses have a lot to prove and back to back defeats on their records could well damage their reputations as elite fighters.
Will Abraham swap his normally “slow starter” tactic for a more aggressive style from the first bell?
Will Froch keep his hands up higher in respect to Abraham’s punching power?
One thing is for sure, this fight has all the hall marks of classic toe to toe brawl and in Helsinki on November 27th we might yet witness a candidate for fight of the year.
