Mercito Gesta is crowned as this week's boxer Con Carácter
NEW YORK (Oct. 26, 2010) - Boxing fans viewing Friday night's TeleFutura broadcast of "Sólo Boxeo Tecate" sat in the judge's seat and cast their text votes naming Mercito Gesta as the fighter with the most character. Gesta defeated Ivan Valle in a second round knockout after bringing him down twice in the first round. Boxing experts consider this victory the biggest win of Gesta's career, and 78 percent of fans who voted agreed.

Launched by Tecate, cerveza con carácter, the "Cinturón Tecate"award gives viewers the chance to recognize the strength, courage, and determination of up-and-coming fighters featured on "Sólo Boxeo Tecate." The boxer who receives the most text votes will be announced during the following week's program. As part of the promotion, adult fans who participate will receive free ring tones and screen savers for their cell phones.
