Derek Chisora Slams 'Pathetic' Harrison Performance

Derek Chisora has vowed to restore the credibility of British heavyweight boxing when he takes on WBO and IBF World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko on December 11 in Germany.

Del Boy was left unimpressed with David Haye's three round victory over Audley Harrison at the weekend and for the embarrassing performance put up by the 2000 Olympic Champion..

"Harrison didn't even go in there and try. I can't think of anything worse, especially when you are fighting for what is supposed to be the most treasured prize in sport - the heavyweight championship of the world. I'd never show my face again if I fought like that. It was pathetic." Blasted Chisora.

"He disgraced himself and he disgraced British heavyweights, he shouldn't get paid the reported million pounds he is earning after that shambles.

"Let's face it though, he never deserved a shot at the title in the first place, because on paper he was something like the sixth best heavyweight in Britain and I'm above ranked above him.

"He's made British heavyweights a laughing stock around the world, but I'll put that right when I fight Wladimir Klitschko.

"The best thing Harrison can do for Britain and himself is to emigrate.

"I'm going into the Klitschko fight a big underdog, but I promise you now that I'll throw more than one punch and put up more of a fight than he did.

"I've got a big challenge ahead of me by going out to Germany, but I'm going out there to give it my best shot because winning the title means more to me than the money.

"I'm confident that I call pull of a massive shock and bring the title back to Britain, and I'm ruining Haye's dreams of beating the Klitschkos because I'm going to do it first."

His fight will take place on the same night as Frank Warren stages The Return of the Magnificent Seven at the Liverpool Echo Arena, a show which features multiple title fights, including Paul Smith's British super-middleweight title defence against James DeGale.
