November 19, 2010 Chester, PA: Undefeated and World Ranked #11 Cruiserweight Ran Nakash (25-0 w/18 KOs) and former IBA World Cruiserweight Champion and WBO/IBF/Ring Magazine World Title Challenger Bobby Gunn (21-4-1 w/18 KOs) are finally going to clash in the ring.
This information has been confirmed by a very reliable source close to Harrah’s Casino in Chester, PA where the bout is to take place in early 2011.
Negotiations are currently underway with several interested Television Broadcast Networks and the final details of this exciting match-up, which by all accounts should take place as early as January, will be announced in the coming days.
It has been rumored that Nakash and Gunn were going to battle when Nakash was quoted after his last fight as being interested in stepping up in competition and facing the hard-punching Gunn.
For his part, Bobby Gunn issued a direct challenge to Ran Nakash following Nakash’s 25th consecutive ring victory back in July of this year. Those rumors have now proven to be more than just talk.
These two ring warriors will be facing-off in a 12 round bout for a Major Cruiserweight Title with the winner positioned to make a run on the Cruiserweight World Championship. With 36 knockouts in their combined 46 ring victories and the fact that both fighters share a willingness to bang, this significant cruiserweight fight promises to display some serious fireworks once the bell rings. More to come…
