CHICAGO, IL (January 19, 2011) Declaring himself “more than ready”, former World Boxing Council (WBC) Lightweight Champion David Diaz swung open the doors to his Chicago based training camp in front of a large crowd of local media and fans on Tuesday afternoon.

At his home base of JABB Boxing Gym, Diaz looked very sharp as he worked numerous rounds on the mitts and speed bag under the watchful eyes of longtime trainer Mike Garcia and manager/trainer Jim Strickland.
With a record of 35-3-1 (17KO’s), Diaz will battle the upset minded “Red Hot” Robert Frankel, 27-9-1 (4KO’s) in the ten round main event at WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 15 on Friday, January 28th at the UIC Pavilion.
With an anticipated huge crowd prepared to support the longtime Chicago favorite Diaz, fight fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or the 8 Count Productions Office (312-226-5800).
