Chavez Jr. decisions Lyell

By Ken Neir: Unbeaten middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (42-0-1, 30 KOs) defeated the light-hitting smaller junior middleweight Billy Lyell (22-9, 4 KO's) by a ten round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Estadio Banorte in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. The final judges' scores were 99-92, 96-94, 98-92. Chavez Jr. will now face WBC appointed middleweight champion Sebastian Zbik next. The WBC recently moved the dangerous Sergio Martinez out of the way and made Zbik the champion.
