Segura KOs Calderon for second time

By Gerardo Gomez: Giovani Segura retained his belt that he won from Ivan Calderon by knocking him out in the 3rd round. The first two rounds looked pretty good. During the 3rd round, Segura had Calderon by the ropes and unleashed combinations and some hard body shots that it was difficult for Calderon to withstand. Calderon took a knee and the fight stopped the fight.

Many boxing fans expected Segura to knock out Calderon. Giovani Segura was just too much for the former champion. I think at this stage, Ivan Calderon should call it a career. He has had a good run. But at 36, he should be thinking about his health. He doesn't need to take all that punishment. Segura on the other hand, should move up in weight. There is more competition for him if he goes up in weight. Great performance by the Aztec Warrior as he delivered a great performance for his fans in Mexicali.
