Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Added To Morales vs Pacquiao undercard

15.02.05 - Unbeaten lightweight hope Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., son of legendary champion Julio Cesar Chavez, will box on the Erik Morales vs. Manny Pacquiao 'Coming With Everything' championship card at the MGM Grand on Saturday, March 19. Bob Arum of Top Rank made the announcement today. Chavez Jr. will box in a six-round bout during the HBO Pay Per View live broadcast.. More than 3,500 fight fans watched Chavez Jr. TKO Leroy Newton on a Top Rank/Telefutura fight card this past weekend at the San Diego Convention Centre.

Chavez Jr. dropped Newton twice with hard combinations and stopped him at 2:11 of the first round. The win raised Chavez' record to 16-0-0 with 11 knockouts. He has won the last six by stoppage.

Chavez Jr. said he plans to train in Mexico City to prepare for March 19.
