Chazz Witherspoon vs Jim Bohannon Feb.17 at 11 PM ET

16.02.05 - "The Mensa Mauler," undefeated heavyweight CHAZZ WITHERSPOON, will go toe-to-toe with the undisputed champion of late night radio, JIM BOHANNON, Feb.17 for 30 minutes begininng at 11 P.M. Witherspoon, 2-0 (2 KOs), from Philadelphia, PA, is scheduled to graduate in May with a Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia -- on a full academic scholarship. An alternate on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team as a heavyweight, (201 lbs), Witherspoon captured the 2004 National Golden Gloves by knocking out all his opponents, a feat never accomplished before in the history of the tournament. He is also a cousin of former world heavyweight champion Terrible Tim Witherspoon.

Promoted by Gary Shaw, and managed by Shelly Finkel, Witherspoon returns to the ring tomorrow night against David Johnson at the Chumash Casino Resort, in Santa Ynez, CA. The two main events -- undefeated NABO jr. welterweight champion Mike Arnautis, 12-0-2, defending his title against Roberto Santa Cruz, 11-2, and Shamone Alvarez, 10-0, vs. Jose Medina, 11-2, in an eight-round welterweight rumble, will be televised live on SHOWTIME on its popular series "SHOBox: The New Generation," beginning at 11 P.M.
