Witherspoon, 2-0 (2 KOs), from Philadelphia, PA, is scheduled to graduate in May with a Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia -- on a full academic scholarship. An alternate on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team as a heavyweight, (201 lbs), Witherspoon captured the 2004 National Golden Gloves by knocking out all his opponents, a feat never accomplished before in the history of the tournament. He is also a cousin of former world heavyweight champion Terrible Tim Witherspoon.
