23.02.05 - By Harry Summers Jr. WB0 #4 Gairy St. Clair and WB0 #8 Shamir Reyes both comfortably made weight ahead of their WBO featherweight title eliminator tonight. St. Clair, 35-3-2 (15), weighed in at 56.85 Kg, while 24-year-old Reyes was slightly lighter at 56.50 Kg. Humble by nature, both fighters displayed a lot of respect for the other, stating the contest is strictly business, while still maintaining a deep-seeded confidence that they will emerge victorious.. St. Clair and Reyes both have reason to be confident coming into the contest.

Guyana-born, now West Australian based St. Clair is undefeated in his last 19 fights, and the quick-handed reflex fighter has looked particularly sharp since hooking up with trainer/manager Craig Christian and moving down to 126lbs. St. Clair's only losses are to current/former world champs Diego Corrales, Leonard Dorin, and Vivian Harris.
Reyes, a speedy southpaw that trains out of the world famous Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn, New York, has won his last four contests, including an impressive points victory over Mexican Ivan Valle, who in his previous bout had upset then-highly regarded Angel Vazquez.
The fight is the main event on a five-fight card at the Hellenic Community Centre in Northbridge, Western Australia.
Weights for undercard bouts were as follows:
Lennox Allen (69.20 Kg) vs. Eak Ubol PorMuangUbol (69.25 Kg)

Aiman Jenzarli (70.50 Kg) vs. Jeremy Allen (70.70 Kg)
