25-year-old Nasir, who doubles as a professional model when he is not training, returned to the ring this past December in Germany after a years inactivity, and scored a first round knockout over Zsolt Tóth from Hungary. He was supposed to have fought again earlier this year, but both January and February dates fell apart. And naturally, trainer Brian Mathiasen, managers Olaf Schroeder and Henrik Risum, as well as Nasir himself, hopes to get more
rounds this time than what was the case in the comeback fight.
Nasir is training hard in Mathiasen´s gym just outside Aarhus, and looking forward to his next assignment. If all goes well in Poland, he might return to the squared circle again already in early April, and this suits him very well: "I need to fight in order to develop, because you can only learn so much in the gym, and I'm crossing my fingers that my management team can secure me a fight in April too. I just want to get better and better, fight by fight, and I have confidence that Olaf and Henrik will do everything they can to move me forward in the best possible way" says Nasir, while finding it difficult to actually cross his fingers while wearing hand-wrappings.
