Hall vs. McDonnell on Saturday
STUEY HALL believes his amazing boxing fairy-tale will continue in Saturday’s (Sept 3) triple title bantamweight battle against Jamie McDonnell at Doncaster Dome.

McDonnell (17-2-1) who will have hometown advantage risks his European and Commonwealth crowns, while Hall (11-0-1) will be putting the British title on the line.
A British championship was Hall’s sole ambition when he turned professional in April 2008 at the age of 28. He is now on the brink of a world title fight.
Darlington’s Hall hasn’t looked back since joining trainer Mike Marsden and promoter Frank Maloney.
Hall, 31, said: “It is just down to hard dedication and Mike. I went off one life and come onto another.
“Mick has changed my life. I got lucky meeting him and he is one of the most straight up persons you’ll ever meet. He is a really nice bloke and knows so much.
“I turned pro and spoke about a Lonsdale belt. That became the target and nothing else mattered.”
McDonnell, 25, will start favourite for the 12 rounder that kicks off Sky Sports new season of boxing but Hall warned: “Things have gone brilliant for this fight and it is onwards and upwards for Mike and me.”
“People are saying McDonnell isn’t keen in fighting me because of how he came across in a TV interview. He is a half decent boxer though. He has to be to get to this level.”
In the chief supporting bout Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries (8-0-1) faces Portsmouth’s Paul Morby (6-6-1).
Other bouts: Carl Johanneson v Marcus McCrae, Takaloo v Chris Brophy, Joe Hughes v Tony Pace, Liam Cameron v Kostas Osben, Robert Dixon v Johnny Greaves, Glenn Foot v William Warburton, Scott Gladwin v Andy Roberts and JJ Bird v Steve Spence.
