Ortiz asks Mayweather for a rematch

By Vitali Shaposhnikov: Here is a link to a video in which Victor Ortiz (29-3-2) talks about his loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0-0), and tries to convince the viewers that a rematch should be essential for Floyd to hold on to his title with integrity (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q72uBdV8PY4&feature=player_embedded).

Victor is not yet convinced in Floyd’s boxing ability, and believes that he deserves another chance. He claims that Floyd should have given him the opportunity to get ready despite the fact that what he did might have been legal. Wait a second, why should Floyd wait and let Ortiz make amateur mistakes?

In a world championship fight, any mistake is your own, with nobody there to repair it and wind back the clock. I wholeheartedly understand why Ortiz wants another shot, but I am afraid that Floyd’s refusal would be well warranted. Fighting Ortiz again would not only bring about a similar result, but would be a waste of time for both fighters.
