Floyd Mayweather to train Ghanaian boxers

By Prince Dornu-Leiku: Famous American boxing trainer Floyd Mayweather Snr will soon be training boxers from Ghana courtesy a promotional partnership between Ghanaian outfit Box Office Sports Promotions and US based promoter/manager Frederick Mac of Triple Mac Promotions.

It is understood the two outfits will stage joint promotions in Ghana and the USA beginning with the ‘Aware for War’ bill scheduled for the Lebanon House in Accra on October 29.
Ghanaian boxers who do well and sign unto the two promotional outfits will be sent to the USA for more exposure and development where they will be trained by Mayweather, father of pound for pound king Floyd Jnr.

“We’ve discussed nothing much yet but Floyd is willing to train my fighters that I bring over from Ghana to Las Vegas where our guys will be based once they come over to the States.
"Ghana can use the exposure because I believe this will be a healthy relationship which could also be beneficial to the Ghanaian economy,” Freddie Mac, licensed manager in Las Vegas told Ghana based newspaper ALL SPORTS from his US base.
