All-Ontario Light Middleweight Action: Brandon Cook Versus Darren Fletcher, October 22, in Mississauga
By GM Ross: Fight fans in the Greater Toronto Area will be treated to an all-Ontario light middleweight match-up on the undercard of McGuinness-Gaudet, October 22, when Brandon Cook (2-0-0) of Ajax takes on Darren Fletcher (1-1-0) of Brantford in a battle of up-and-comers. Both fighters are making their third professional appearance and will be hungry to prove their superiority over the other.
Fletcher has been the more active fighter of late, scoring a victory over the debuting Marcel Maillet Jr. last month in Moncton. Cook's most recent appearance was in Mississauga in June, when he stopped Laszlo Haaz (4-0-0) of Hungary in under a round. Fletcher owns the only defeat between the two men, dropping a contest in Calgary last May to Brad Soanes (1-0-0) via unanimous decision.
Both men are scheduled to appear in Moncton, New Brunswick, in November as part of Victory Promotions' "Breaking Ground" card. Fletcher is slated to take on Fredericton's Brandon Brewer (1-0-0), while Cook's opponent is TB.
