13.03.05 - Marcus Beyer retained his WBC super middleweight title tonight outpoining Danny Green over 12 rounds in Zwickau, Germany. The three ringside judges scored the fight 114-113, 115-112 and 114-114 to give Beyer a deserved majority decision victory. Beyer kept control throughout and looked set to cruise to victory before Green showcased a furious rally in the 12th round. A big right hook followed by a flurry of punches pinned Beyer to the ropes, but he stayed up and beat a standing eight-count to win the fight.
