Roach to Morales: "Beware the ICE of March!"
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 15, 2005) – It seems like only yesterday when the Roman ruler Julius Caesar failed to heed the warning of an unidentified soothsayer. “Beware the Ides of March,” Caesar was warned, on this very day in 44 B.C., on his way to the Senate (and his assassination.) “Beware the ‘Ice’ of March 19 – ‘MANILA Ice’” warned Freddie Roach to Erik “El Terrible” Morales today..

Roach, the Shakespeare of boxing and Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, predicted that his charge would emerge victorious in Saturday’s 12-round super featherweight battle of the three-time world champions.
“Caesar’s reign ended in the Pompey Theatre and Morales’ will end in The MGM Grand Garden Arena,” continued Roach, a bit of a soothsayer himself. “There is no way he will be able to survive once Manny unleashes ‘Manila Ice.’ When he drops that bomb on Morales Saturday night, Manny will be known as boxing’s Enola Gay.”
Roach developed ‘Manila Ice’ under tighter security than the Manhattan Project to exploit a weakness he discovered in Morales after studying tapes of his previous fights.
“COMING WITH EVERYTHING!” -- MORALES vs. PACQUIAO will be distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View.
Morales arrives in Las Vegas Today! at 5:30 P.M.* where he will receive a red carpet greeting at the MGM Grand’s front Porte Cochere. (* Call after 3 P.M. PT for exact time.)
