Video: Super Bantamweight Jerry Guevara looks to impress on “Solo Boxeo” tonight

By Adrian Hernandez: Tonight from the Convention Center in Pharr, TX, Telefutura “Solo Boxeo” will showcase undefeated Super Bantamweight Jerry Guevara (7-0, 5 KOs) from Brownsville, TX, in a six round special feature.

The 122 pound special attraction will be aired alongside tonight’s main event of the evening between undefeated Lightweight prospect Carlos Molina (16-0-1, 7 KOs) and Marcos Leonardo Jimenez (18-3, 12 KOs).

In his previous bout, the 22 year old Texas based fighter handed Filipino prospect Juan Miguel Elorde (10-1, 4 KOs) his first loss on the day before Pacquiao’s third fight with Marquez in November of 2011.

Although Guevara accepted the fight just days before the scheduled date, the promising young fighter thoroughly outboxed the favored Filipino fighter.

“That fight was a real confidence builder,” explains Jerry Guevara. “I haven’t been in the ring since that bout and I can’t wait to get back in there. I can’t wait to perform in front of my fans.”
