Samuel Peter: "Who's Next?"

03.07.05 - By Aidan Monaghan: That's what Samuel Peter demanded following his 2 round destruction of Taurus Sykes on Saturday night in Reno Nevada, set up by a right hand to the side of Sykes head by Peter, that hurt Sykes, and lead to very accurate combination punching in a determined and aggressive final attack by Peter for another 15 seconds resulting in the one lone knockdown of the match and a stoppage of the action at 2:07 of the round..

Early in the bout, Peter stalked his opponent with long jabs, rights and hooks to the body. And although weighing 240+ pounds, Peter displayed impressive footwork and coordination, while pursuing his opponent and occasionally engaging in defensive maneuvers. And his power spoke for itself. Sykes for his part, attempted to stand his ground throughout with a good jab of his own as well as movement.

With this KO, Peter improved his record to 24-0, 21 KO's and secured the NABA, NABF & USBA heavyweight titles.
